Equestrian Connection’s Polo Cup 2013

Spread the love

Equestrian Connection gathered on sunny Saturday, June 22nd at the 4th Annual Villa del Lago Equestrian Polo Cup charity event to benefit individuals (both young and old) with special needs. Enthusiastic horseback riding and polo aficionados gathered at Crab Tree Farm in Lake Bluff, Illinois for this highly regarded event; whereby 100% of all proceeds (including sponsorships, ticket sales, etc.) benefit the programs at Equestrian Connection Therapeutic Riding Center in Lake Forest.

Friendly volunteers, V.I.P. tents, and top – talented polo players on horseback greeted everyone who attended this highly respectable fundraiser, where a celebrity appearance was made by Charles Tillman of the Chicago Bears during half time festivities, which included Equestrian Connection’s program demonstration.

In keeping with a very proud tradition, an outstanding 91% of Equestrian Connection’s annual revenue is put towards professional therapy and programs to benefit those in need who might not receive those services otherwise. Essentially, families pay what they can afford and individuals with special needs are simply not turned away; this is Equestrian Connection’s never-ending, dedicated mission statement.

Not to be forgotten is Kirk Struggles (Cowboy Kirk), spokesperson for the last three years for this dynamic event who recently passed away. He will be sorely missed and forever remembered.

Congratulations to Equestrian Connection and all who volunteered to make this such a successful and entertaining fundraiser!!
