Fashion and Fireworks

Spread the love

The close of the Spring fashion season went out with a BANG! Literally, fireworks over Navy Piers closed the fashion show Come Sail Away.

Held on the iconic Castaways on North Avenue Beach fashion was in the air. Ladies Night Chicago and Benjamin Contrell Designs paired up for a bon voyage to the Spring Fashion Season, and to give back to the community. Part of the event proceeds helped National Runaway Safeline, which keeps runaways, homeless and at-risk youth safe and off the streets.

Fashion designer Rosina~Mae opened the show with her one of kind, mix and match swimwear, followed by knitwear from LV Jordan, flirty summertime garments from Angelique’s Boutique, and closed with show stoppers from Ramsey J. Prince. If all the fashion was not enough, the crowd enjoyed a steal drum performance by Malika Coletta, and an electric dance routine from the trio Pretty Boy Bounce. The night ended with a fireworks display over Navy Pier, the weather was just right, the crowd was fabulous, and the evening was the perfect beginning to summer in Chicago.
