Jimmy Damon: The Legend Lives On

Spread the love

The legacy and timeless talent of a great entertainer was proudly honored on Sunday, July 28th at the Chicago History Museum. This special Jimmy Damon tribute show included an outstanding cast of performance artists, including Denise Tomasello, Nan Mason, and Bobbi Wilsyn who kept the crowd entertained for hours.

classic-lounge-singer-jimmy-damon-dies-at-75Chicago’s very own Merri Dee kept the presentations smoothly rolling along throughout the afternoon as one of the emcees and Ronna Kaye provided stage direction for all of the artists. With a talented all star cast of 12 musicians and 9 story presenters, this was an afternoon these fans of Jimmy Damon will never forget. After a stellar tribute show like this, the friends and family of Jimmy have a lot to be proud of; as his legacy will no doubt live on for years to come.

Congratulations to co-chair Carla Gordon along with countless volunteers for making this such a unique and memorable event, with proceeds going to the Jimmy Damon scholarship fund.
