The Mayfair Townhouse

Spread the love

The Mayfair Townhouse is the fifth and latest hotel from the Iconic Luxury Hotels. It’s located near London’s Green Park on Half Moon Street alongside Piccadilly. The launch of this witty new luxury space was set for September 2020. Given the history of Iconic Luxury Hotels, you would be right to anticipate something unique and lush indeed.

According to Andrew Stembridge, Executive Director of Iconic Luxury Hotels, “There is nothing like The Mayfair Townhouse. We’ve created a product – a personality – that’s exceptionally unique to our collection at Iconic Luxury Hotels. We’re looking to give London and travelers from all over the world, something fresh, something totally different, and something totally unexpected. This is a new and exciting chapter for Iconic Luxury Hotels, and as we welcome our second property in London, we look forward to creating remarkable memories in the heart of Mayfair.”

True to Stembridge’s words the Mayfair Townhouse exudes the most inviting and welcoming appeal. It has been carefully designed to serve those who appreciate an exceptional level of service and are engaged by a new form of curiosity. The Mayfair Townhouse can be imagined or described as an Oscar Wilde meets Alice in Wonderland kind of place.

The theme and design of this luxury hotel are based on the historic connections with Oscar Wilde, Half Moon Street, and the familiar dandy lifestyle known to Mayfair.

Holding on to its unique personality which is a refreshing approach to luxury hotels, the overall design, and theme of the townhouse results in a contemporary Georgian style with incorporated English eccentricities.

The art specialist involved with curating unusual pieces for the Mayfair Townhouse is Minda Dowling. Art is a vital part of what has been created at the townhouse and the pieces chosen include collections from both famous and emerging artists. A welcome twist added are the special QR codes that allow guests to scan and get details of the art. In its own way, the witty townhouse with a dandy lifestyle swag helps impact knowledge on art and its artists.

This hotel is complete with a bar featuring a dimly lit atmosphere where visitors can comfortably see and be seen; bespoke cocktails; and all the lush materials that speak luxury including velvet seating, leathers, high gloss timber, marble, and glass.

In the guestrooms, it’s easy to note how they have been individually designed. The suites include Penthouse suites, classic rooms, and indoor-outdoor living themed Garden Suites. The linens, robes, mattresses, toiletries, and every component are of the highest quality which is only befitting of the Mayfair townhouse.

Iconic Luxury Hotels did fulfill their promise of a fresh take at luxury with this fifth addition to their hotels. Other properties that also offer their outstanding experience are the Cliveden House, Chewton Glen, 11 Cadogan Gardens, and The Lygon Arms. Each is inspired by a rich heritage and outfitted with standout facilities, luxurious offerings, comfort, and style.

Any of these hotels is the place to find luxury but the Mayfair Townhouse is open to be explored.
