“Barbie in Chicago” at Block 37
Bring out and bring on your individual sense of style and fashion flair and join the trendsetters and fashionistas for “Barbie in Chicago,” on Saturday November 9th at Block 37. Dressing as the dynamic Barbie/Ken duo is a playful wardrobe option that is strongly encouraged and judges will be awarding prizes to the most authentic looking Barbie and Ken. And on the Pink Carpet…of course Barbie & Ken look-a-likes for fun photos ops.
Photographer, Amie Hana, and restaurateur, Vincent Tan, owner of Thalia Spice and Simply Thalia have been hard at work planning this fun, whimsical event which will feature delicious Asian inspired bites and food from other local eataries, signature cocktails, a runway show, musical performances and more!
Mark Roscoe Design is collaborating with award-winning pastry chef, Omar Martinez, to fabricate a garment made out of chocolate and worn by Shanon Lersch, a Luvabull for the Chicago Bulls and Miss Illinois USA 2008.
Musical performances by De’Borah from The Voice and international performing artist, Divalicious Jovie Calma are two other highlights of the of the evening which will be emceed by Jillian Conley, author of Dating Chase Walker and Jeff Conway TV Personality and Emmy Nominated Producer.
A portion of the proceeds benefiting, Dress For Success which provides clothing to low-income women and helps them achieve a sense of style and confidence to project the best of themselves for their job interviews
