Each year, the world’s renowned chefs, celebrity winemakers, and food lovers gather for a spectacular weekend at the base of the breathtaking Aspen Mountain. Consisting of three amazing days of wine tastings, cooking demonstrations and panel talks by the tastemakers of the industry, there is no wonder why it’s the primary culinary event of the year!
I had the pleasure of attending this year’s program and mingle with the industry’s best. As always, it was wonderful to experience this pleasure-packed event and learn what is new in the world of Food & Wine. Not only will you have access to all the delicious food, but you will also get to mingle with celebrity chefs who’ve created them! From the “Top Chef” judges to the famous restaurateurs, the weekend is packed with high-profile guests who are more than willing to let you in on the industry’s most precious secrets.

There are a lot of events, but Food & Wine Classic is the nation’s premier food event not only because of its roster of A-list attendees but because of its picturesque location. Surrounded by the majestic mountains, the Food & Wine Classic’s grounds are as breathtaking as it gets. As Gail Simmons, who has directed the Classic for more than 5 years, says it’s the city that makes the festival so special. Aside from food and rare wines, the event is all about Aspen and the people of Aspen who are welcoming their guests with open hearts. It doesn’t get better than this.

The festival is a treasure trove for aspiring cooks and food lovers of all calibers. You will be able to find a seminar or a demonstration class to learn something new no matter your level of skills. From grating cold butter with cheese to mix into delicious biscuits to perfecting your southern-inspired fried chicken, there are lessons and workshops for everyone!
It is also great having a celebrity chef’s undivided attention and teaching you to properly measure the doneness of that juicy lamb roast you’ve been trying to perfect for years. Even if you consider yourself an experienced cook, there will be always something that will inspire you.
It’s been a week since I’ve attended the festival, but I still feel inspired by the scenic views and the priceless connection with people I’ve met at the event. The displays, the design, the atmosphere, and the people – it all came together to shape an unforgettable celebration of good food, exquisite wine, and vibrant life! It’s an event that celebrates life, and it’s the number one reason why it’s such a success.
