Pilot Light’s “Feed Your Mind”

There is no better way to satisfy your love of great food and wine, this holiday season, than by joining Pilot Light’s chef founders, Matthias Merges, Paul Kahan, Jason Hammel, and Justin Large for an exciting evening of interactive cooking demonstrations and more.

The 2nd annual fundraising event will take place on Friday, December 5, 2014, at Preston Bradley Hall in the Chicago Cultural Center.

Signature dishes from Sandra Holl of Floriole; Giuseppe Tentori, chef/owner of GT Fish & Oyster; Richard James of Frontera Grill;
Erick Williams from MK; Charlie McKenna of Lillie’s Q; Hisanobu Osaka from Japonais by Morimoto; Trey Foshe, from George’s at the Cove in La Jolla and the artisan offerings of cheese, wine, and bread from Pastoral are also on the menu. Adding to the festivities will be mixologists from Billy Sunday and The Violet Hour creating specialty cocktails, live entertainment, a live and silent auction. Windy City Live’s Ji Suk Yi serves as the evening’s host.

Pilot Light’s mission is to empower children with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to have a healthy relationship with food. Designed to inspire students to make healthier food choices, classroom lessons weave food and nutrition education into everyday subjects like English, math, social studies, and science. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Pilot Light’s programs and the Chicago school children they serve.
