Betty White Quotes That Can Make Us Better Horse People
Betty White passed on peacefully just before her 100th birthday.
After investigations by the police, this was the conclusion as Betty was neither sick nor suffering any extended ailments. In fact, since the pandemic hit, Betty spent more time in her home reading, watching TV, and doing crossword puzzles.
We remember her fondly for gracing our screens since 1939. She’s famous for her lead role as Rose Nylund in The Golden Girls, her radio appearances on Blondie, The Great Gildersleeve, and This is Your FBI, playing Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and starring in The Betty White Show.
Let’s not forget many other shows and films like Life with Elizabeth, Date with the Angels, The Love Boat, Mama’s Family, The Golden Palace, Ladies Man, That ‘70s Show, Higglytown Heroes, Boston Legal, The Bold and the Beautiful, Pound Puppies, and Hot in Cleveland.
She’s a 5-time Primetime Emmy Awards winner, has been nominated for several Golden Globes, and has also been honored with lots of Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Outside her career, Betty was a pet enthusiast and animal welfare advocate and also a supporter and advocate of LGBT rights. In her words, “If a couple has been together all that time – and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones – I think it’s fine if they want to get married. I don’t know how people can get so anti-something. Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much.”
She would have celebrated her 100th birthday on January 17, 2022. Betty will forever be loved and remembered.
